The Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame (HIHOF) announced today that the American Academy of Pediatrics for HealthyChildren.Org has been selected as an inductee into the Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The award will be presented during the 29th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference, November 9-12, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The American Academy of Pediatrics for HealthyChildren.Org is being honored as an Innovative Organization.
The American Academy of Pediatrics launched HealthyChildren.org in 2009 to provide parents with health information from a trustworthy source. The site averages more than 9 million page views per month from around the world. In 2012, the editorial team launched the Spanish version of the site.
HealthyChildren.org continues to use its presence on every major social media platform, e-newsletters and more to disseminate its content. In an era of misinformation and attacks on both public health professionals and pediatricians, this 5,000+ page site continues to push out evidence-based educational content, setting a standard for what digital health content should look like.
