The Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame (HIHOF) announced today that Sara Vaezy has been selected as an inductee into the Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The award will be presented during the 29th Annual Healthcare Internet Conference, November 9-12, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Vaezy is being honored as an Innovative Individual.
She is currently Chief Product and Technology Officer at Chartis and was previously Executive Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer for Providence, a $30 billion integrated health system. She is responsible for the development of the organizations’ transformation strategy through technology innovation and responsible adoption of AI to enable the delivery system of the future. Vaezy also leads the consumer and patient-facing experiences for the system through marketing, brand, digital consumer experience and virtual care to drive sustainable growth.
She serves as a board director of multiple organizations: AARP Services Inc (ASI), the for-profit services arm of the AARP; the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), a non-profit organization that sets standards and measures for healthcare quality; Praia Health, an identity-driven Platform as a Service startup; and a board observer for DexCare, one of Providence’s digital spin-off companies.
She is a clinical faculty member of the University of Washington School of Public Health and a faculty member of the Harvard Executive Education program, where she teaches courses on digital health strategy and innovation.
She has received numerous awards and honors including the Modern Health Innovators Award (2024), Rock Health Top 50 in Digital Health Luminary (2023) and the Business Insider 30 under 40 Transforming the Future of Healthcare Award (2019). Her writing has been featured in many publications, including: Harvard Business Review, Geekwire, Forbes and the New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst.
Vaezy earned a Master of Health Administration (MHA) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Policy from the University of Washington School of Public Health, as well as Bachelor of Arts degrees in Physics and Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley.
