Another Healthcare Internet Conference has come and gone in the blink of an eye. With over seventy concurrent sessions covering everything from centralizing social care, leveraging machine learning and leveraging biometrics to the brutally honest (and herculean) “How a Single Content Marketer Drives Traffic to a Health System,” the case studies and content shared get better with each passing year. Add in three keynotes, the 2nd annual new attendee meet & greet plus hundreds of friends and colleagues reconnecting and you have one of our favorite weeks of the year.
Of course, HCIC wouldn’t be complete without our annual Healthcare Internet Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which kicked off Tuesday morning’s schedule.
This year, Aaron Clifford, SVP of Marketing for Binary Fountain, and Simon Yohe, Director of Web Marketing Strategy at AdventHealth, were our hosts and had the honor of inducting a content marketing superstar as our Innovative Individual while also taking a moment to thank an inductee and former judge on his retirement.
Amanda Todorovich, Senior Director of Health Content at Cleveland Clinic, was this year’s innovative individual inductee. Known throughout the healthcare marketing world, she is a content marketing and social media thought leader with 20 years of storytelling experience, who is passionate about innovative communication and strategic content of all kinds. Leading one of the most successful content marketing teams in the country, she is a sought-after speaker on digital and content marketing topics.
Meanwhile, it was our pleasure to honor – and surprise – 2016 Innovative Individual Neal Linkon on his retirement. An industry fixture since the early days of HCIC, he was most recently Director of Marketing Operations at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. His healthcare career also included leadership roles at Greystone.net and Aurora Health Care. (Be sure to watch the video Neal’s team put together for him to see the impact one person can have on a marketing team.)
Thanks to everyone who joined us in Orlando for the 2019 ceremony. Nominations for 2020 are available now online and we can’t wait to induct the 2020 class at HCIC in Los Angeles!
